Dinner Party of all Dinner Parties
Most of you know that cooking and baking is basically my favorite activity. I have taken it upon myself lately to have a dinner party every now and again to be able to try out new recipes and get to know new people. Last night we had the greatest dinner party thus far. Everyone's personalities flowed perfectly and the conversation was weird and fantastic.
I invited a guy from my Advertising class and he fit right in with my friends. He told me that he enjoyed himself because everyone was weird like him. I should mention that we didn't hold back at all. We showed off our Youtube videos, our dance video, played jinx the whole time and even talked about being nicknamed after Pokemon in high school. Yes we are really cool people.
I really enjoy it when the conversation is so easy to get going. It was nice to feel that everyone felt comfortable with each other and were willing to laugh really hard and tell ridiculous stories.
The dinner turned out excellent too if I may add. We had an authentic Greek salad, Macaroni bacon and corn pie and Baked Alaska for dessert. Everything seemed to be a huge hit. We ended up with no left overs and when it came to the dessert some people had several servings.
Yes we were pretty weird and outrageous the whole evening of the dinner party, but nothing will compare to after the dinner party. My roommate and I went a little bit crazy at ward prayer. I don't know if it was just because it was getting later and we had just started to get crazy at the dinner party or what. To start off we were not exactly in the circle, we were actually trying really hard to not be picked to introduce ourselves and my roommate was suffering from drinking too much lemonade at dinner.
A friend of ours came over to us and accused us of making fun of the people introducing themselves. We explained that we were actually singing The Braceface Theme song. We told her that clearly she had mistaken us for "cool" people that make fun of people, but actually we were lame and singing the theme song of a show we watched in middle school.
As the night continued we made up jokes and started discussing a fake company that we were going to get started. I won't tell you what the company is since that is top secret unless you have been invited to be part of the company. But basically we made up the term "producing" whenever the company is in business. Yes I realize this all sounds weird and I will not deny that it is.
After ward prayer we were invited to a game night. I feel bad for the people in attendance because my roommate, our friend from ward prayer, one of our guy friends from the ward and I were being extremely immature and laughing at our own jokes the entire night. We may have even broken their couch a little bit. Not on purpose...it appeared to be already slightly be broken. Next time we probably all shouldn't sit there. We had a hard time paying attention as well because we were too absorbed in making up fake stories and calling my roommate Bean. Yes Bean is her new nickname. All in all it was the best Sunday in a while.
